1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit. They let the site recognize your device and remember your actions and preferences — such as your language, your province or your login session — over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them every time you come back or move from page to page. Cookies are passive files: they do not run programs, cannot install software and cannot carry viruses. Alongside cookies we also use similar technologies such as browser local storage, session storage and measurement pixels; for simplicity, this policy refers to all of them as cookies. This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we collect, use, retain and protect personal information.

2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies for four purposes only: to make the site work (session management, security, remembering your legal confirmations), to remember your preferences (language, display options), to understand how the site performs so we can improve it (aggregated analytics, only with your consent), and — where enabled — to measure our own promotional campaigns (only with your consent). We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of minors or self-excluded players, we do not sell cookie data, and we do not allow third parties to use cookies set on our site for their own unrelated purposes.

3. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, filling in a form or setting your cookie choices. They keep you signed in as you move between pages, remember your language (English or French) and your province, protect forms against cross-site request forgery and other attacks, help balance traffic across our servers, and store your age confirmation and your cookie-banner decision. You can set your browser to block these cookies, but if you do, core parts of the site — including account access, ticket purchase and play — will not work.

4. Functional cookies
Functional cookies remember the choices you make so that your experience is smoother and more personal — for example your display preferences, the last game category you browsed, or information you have already entered so you do not need to type it again. These cookies may be set by us or by service providers acting strictly on our behalf. They are not used to track your browsing on other websites. If you block them, the site will still work, but some conveniences will be lost and certain preferences will reset between visits.

5. Performance and analytics cookies
With your consent, analytics cookies count visits and traffic sources and tell us which pages are the most and least popular, how visitors move around the site, how quickly pages load and where errors occur. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and statistical: we use it to measure and improve the performance of the site, not to identify you personally. Analytics tools do not load at all unless you have accepted them in the cookie banner, and withdrawing your consent stops any further collection. If you do not allow these cookies, we simply will not know when you have visited, and your visit will not be counted in our statistics.

6. Advertising and campaign-measurement cookies
If advertising cookies are used, they are set only with your explicit consent. We use them solely to measure the reach and effectiveness of our own campaigns — for example, to know whether a promotion brought visitors to the site — and to cap how often a message is shown. We do not run third-party behavioural advertising networks on the site. Our advertising practices follow the standards that apply to gambling in your province: we never knowingly target minors, we do not target people who have self-excluded, and our promotional messages carry the required responsible-gambling information. You can withdraw consent at any time and advertising cookies will no longer be set.

7. First-party and third-party cookies
Most cookies on this site are first-party cookies, set by our own domain. A small number may be set by carefully selected service providers — for example a content-delivery or analytics provider — acting under contract for us. These providers may only use the data to provide their service to us; they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes, to combine it with other data sets, or to sell it. We review our providers' practices and require safeguards consistent with Canadian privacy law and, for Québec residents, with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

8. Similar technologies: local storage and pixels
Local storage and session storage are small data stores built into your browser. We use them for the same purposes as strictly necessary and functional cookies — for example to remember interface state during a session. Measurement pixels are tiny images that tell us an email was opened or a page was displayed; where they are used for analytics or campaign measurement, they follow the same consent rules as the corresponding cookie category. Clearing your browser's site data removes local and session storage in the same way as deleting cookies.

9. How long cookies last
Session cookies exist only while your browser is open and are deleted automatically when you close it; we use them for things like keeping your login active. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period so the site can recognize you on a return visit; we keep their lifetimes as short as practical for their purpose. As a guide: security and session cookies last from a few hours to a few days; preference cookies (language, cookie choices, age confirmation) last up to 12 months; analytics cookies, where accepted, last up to 13 months, in line with common regulatory guidance. When a cookie expires it is deleted by your browser automatically.

10. Your choices: the cookie banner
On your first visit, our cookie banner offers three equal options: accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or personalize your choices category by category. Refusing is as easy as accepting — one click each — in line with Québec Law 25 and the guidance of the Commission d'accès à l'information. Your decision is remembered, and no optional cookie is set before you have made it. You can reopen the banner and change your choices at any time; the change applies immediately to any new data collection.

11. Browser controls
In addition to our banner, every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, either globally or site by site, and lets you clear local storage. Consult the help pages of your browser (for example Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) for step-by-step instructions, including on mobile. Keep in mind that deleting all cookies also deletes the cookie that stores your choices, so the banner will appear again, and that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in or playing. If your browser sends a recognized universal opt-out signal, we treat it as a refusal of non-essential cookies.

12. Cookies and your personal information
Some cookie data — such as an account session identifier — is personal information, and it is handled under our Privacy Policy: collected for stated purposes, kept no longer than necessary, protected with appropriate safeguards, and never sold. You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to withdraw consent for optional processing. To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer using the details on the Contact page; we respond within the timelines set by applicable law.

13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example when we add or remove a tool, change a provider, or respond to new legal requirements. When we make a material change, we will post the updated policy here with a new effective date and, where the change concerns optional cookies, we will ask for your consent again before those cookies are used.
